The date is rapidly approaching; GUAA’s 31st annual meeting will be held in Music City USA from June 11th through the 14th. Again this year we are extending a special invitation to our friends at the Society of Actuaries who have joined us in developing a comprehensive schedule of workshops. At least 15 of the scheduled workshops offer Professional Development Credits for our delegates. We have a wide variety of program topics to interest our diverse membership.

If you are planning to join us you will find the information below helpful.

Hotel

The Loews Vanderbilt Hotel sits in the heart of the famed West End. The West End neighborhood has been thriving since the late 1800’s when Centennial Park and Vanderbilt University entered Nashville’s landscape. When Vanderbilt Plaza Hotel opened in 1984 it immediately became the preferred gathering place for city socialites and a frequent stop for some of the nation’s most prominent figures, from presidents and dignitaries to musical artists and celebrities. The Loews Vanderbilt Hotel, a AAA four-diamond hotel, is considered by Fortune Magazine to be the top business hotel, as well as the only place to stay in Nashville according to Zagat Guide. Located at 2100 West End Avenue, the hotel is within one mile of Nashville’s entertainment district, and within walking distance of numerous fine restaurants and nightclubs.

Entertainment

Take advantage of the many sites in Nashville from great music to great eating and shopping.
