Dental Committee

United Concordia Companies, Inc.In its first year, the Dental Committee continued to grow and provide educational workshops to those involved. The first workshop introduced participants to the "art" of the Request for Proposal (RFP) Process. Hosted by guest speaker Ben Schecter from William Mercer, members learned about selection criteria and how consulting firms evaluate one carrier over another.
Our second workshop, led by Envoy Corporation's Jackie Tadsen, gave members a chance to learn about HIPAA and its affect on the Dental Industry. Finally, committee members wrapped things up with a "Let's Talk Shop" on Alternate Distribution Channels and Voluntary Dental Plans.
Events for the Spring Workshops are in the preliminary planning phases, but promise to be informative and fun to those involved.
