You Speak, We Listen

Once again, it is time to evaluate member feedback. On behalf of the Board and the Committees, many thanks to everyone who took time to complete the feedback forms at our Atlanta "Distribution Crossroads" meeting.

After receiving suggestions for improvement on Let's Talk Shop at our New York meeting, we paid special attention to these sessions. As a result, we received many positive comments on Atlanta. We made sure the room size was appropriate and conducive to the Let's Talk Shop informal format. Many of you commented that these sessions provide an invaluable opportunity to discuss the underwriting issues you face each day with your industry peers.

While most feedback was positive, there were also suggestions for improvement. You liked the new look of our newsletter, but suggested it contain more statistical and industry-related information. We want the newsletter to be member driven and would like to include your original articles. If you have an article, training material, or a presentation that might be of interest to our membership, we would like to hear from you; perhaps you would like to pen something specifically for Risk Review. Whatever the case, we would like to hear from you. Please contact John Palmieri to discuss your article.

Overall, your feedback says we are on the right track by providing the group underwriting focus that only GUAA can provide. We will consider your feedback as we plan June's annual meeting in Baltimore and other future efforts. Our continuing goal is to provide GUAA membership with access, information, and value. Apparently, we hit the mark as one respondent commented, "Lots of Access, Information, and Value."
