Looking Ahead

Welcome to another issue of the Risk Review. By the time you read this, we will have recovered from our very successful meeting in Montreal, and we will be deep into the logistics of our fall meeting in Charleston. ItŐs amazing how quickly the time passes.
By all reports, Montreal was a great success. We had over 150 attendees including many first timers from Canada. Our committee members came through again with more than 20 provocative workshops. Thanks to Mark Walker for all his hard work coordinating this effort! For those of you who were unable to attend, you will find summaries of the workshops in this issue.
Our next meeting is scheduled for November 11-14 in Charleston, South Carolina. The program looks to be one of our strongest ever and the venue is fantastic. Check our website at www.guaa.com for all the details.
Your GUAA board is working on several initiatives to continue to improve and expand the opportunities and services for our members. A few of these include exploring ways to grow and diversify our membership and meeting attendance, improve our registration procedures and data base utilization, and implementing ideas that come from you through survey results, emails, and direct feedback.
GUAA continues to stand out as one of the best industry meeting values for those looking to increase their knowledge, meet peers and competitors in the market, or to simply build a network of professionals across the country. We all benefit from the diversity of product knowledge and increased understanding of the issues and opportunities facing our industry that will come with the growth of our Association. Pass the word to your co-workers and customers.
